200+ kicks at one point during this workout makes for some powerful. but sore legs and glutes!
Shoulders are burning from 30 minutes of punches. This is one of my favorite workout programs!
I also started a 30 day ab challenge today and kicked it off with Ab Ripper X. Classic but still hard as hell.
Today after work i think i’m going to hit a yoga class to get some extra stretching ahead of my PT appointment tomorrow.
Tropical and banana shakeology for breakfast and i’m ready to take on the day.
See ya tomorrow for more combat! You really need to be doing this program. Message me to order your copy and i’ll throw in 5 days of shakeology as a bonus!
Not feeling the greatest as I have a touch of the cold that is going around everywhere. I even cancelled my class last night which is something I do not do often. I got up this morning feeling better thanks to the miracle that is hot tea, and decided that I need to do my plyo workout.
Les Mills Plyo
Lots of jumps, lots of squats and lots of sweat. You want to change your body, you have to do it with challenges. The challenge of pushing through when you don’t quite feel like it. Squeezing in that extra burpee, dropping a 1/2 inch on a lunge. Every little bit helps!
I’ve noticed drinking daily Shakeology also helps a lot. The guy I got this cold from was sick for a few days. I’m feeling 80% better today and I know it’s because I flood my system with nutrition daily
Of course there are other products that work but this one has worked for me from the beginning in helping me get from 380 to 270 and it hasn’t lost it’s effectiveness. As a coach I get a discount so all this healthiness cost me 4 dollars a day and its so worth it!
I don’t necessarily want to eat a salad but I drink one of these and I’ve done better than 4 salads. Shakeology curbs sugar cravings, hunger cravings and usually fills me up for 3-4 hours depending on what i’m doing.
I’ve one more trip to the PT next Tuesday and then the doctor on Wed but i’m a bit nervous. I’ve gotten better but it still hurts. Not sure what’s going to happen at this point…prayers are welcome!
So have a great one, 2013 is coming to a close and NOW is the perfect time to jump start your fitness so in January you are like the rest of the sheep promising yourself that this year you will get into shape.
Do it NOW!
I decided to jump into another round of combat as my fitness routine for the next 60 days. I figure it’s a good mix of high end cardio and the kicks help work my hips and it band along with dynamic balance work.
A lot of things happening and I can feel today 30 minute routine in my right hip as I write this. I need to stretch more, I’ve said that for awhile and it’s been confirmed but now I need to DO IT.
Shakeology is going to be another key to controlling weight and sugar cravings.
I also have to take my time and now power through moves our activities because I “KNOW” I can do i but let my body teach me what it can currently do right now.
Day 1 in the books.
I have not been feeling well the last few weeks, to the point that I missed working out all last week with the exception of the classes i teach.
Still not feeling the best as I have a sinus infection but I have discovered (and always kind of known) that I feel better when I workout, even when i’m sick. Since my energy levels are better, I decided to dive back in!
T25 Beta Week 2 (again)
Dynamic Core was the activity, it was tough but I enjoyed doing it but more importantly, my body enjoyed the movement! 25 minutes of focus and i’m worked out.
I decided to try a different class this morning as well, Bikram Express 60! By Studio has been offering a 60 minute early morning class for the people who don’t have 90 minutes. I don’t always have 90 minutes so I gave this a try and WOW!
This class is awesome! I’ve done martial arts for….a long time (wow, I suddenly feel old). Bikram 60 feels more like a 60 minute martial arts Kata than a yoga session. A lot more cardio and movement and less meditation. (this is a good and bad thing)
I, sometimes, get to caught up in my head and this ruins my meditation part of it, so cutting that portion down works for me….even thought that’s probably where i need to do more focusing. The moves also string together faster so if you’re accustomed to more breaks and time to setup between postures, it’s gone so you are always moving. If you are NEW NEW to bikram, as in, never have done a class before, I wouldn’t do the express class because you need to know the postures and what’s coming to keep up. If you’ve been doing bikram 90 for a bit, express could be right up your alley, no time to get bored or lost in your head and all the benefits of the movement.
I like it and will be doing this more often. I’m actually wondering how I will go back to the 90 minute classes after all this awesomeness!
Anway, how is your workout going? Starting Sept 9th, I have a T25 Focus challenge group starting. 8 trainers like myself to help keep your motivated and all the tips and hints you could ever want. Interested in joining? message me and i’ll give you the details.
You will not go wrong doing the T25 workout,
I’m on the 4th week of T25 Alpha. During this phase the five, 25 minute workout you do are designed to build a foundation so that when you progress to the Beta stage for the next four weeks, you aren’t completely lost.
Today was Speed and I’m finally on pace with the people in the video. I was probably on pace last week but I was sore and stiff so it didn’t workout as well. Every time I do one of these workout, I think to myself, today is the day we don’t sweat because I’ve adapted to the workout. It never happens! The better I do, the more I sweat. If i have a not so great workout, I still sweat buckets. This workout is the most fun I’ve had since Les Mills Combat (I need to see if i can get certified to teach that!)
Anyway, i’m teaching two classes tonight and I finally broke down and went to the doctor yesterday about my right foot. He sent me a referral to a foot doctor, doesn’t’ think anything is broken just a weird strain or itis.
I finally got a bag of Vanilla Shakeology and that’s been my morning drink
I like it but I won’t tell you it’s the best flavor. I am a chocolate and Greenberry guy for the most part. To me, vanilla shakeology taste like birthday cake ice cream so when I add a banana or peanut better to it, it’s REALLY GOOD but on it’s own….birthday cake ice cream.
Since starting a focused T25 /Shakeology plan 3 weeks ago, i’ve lost 4 inches off my mid section and I’m beginning to really see a difference. My energy levels are up for the most part, the weather going from 90 to 40 is killing me but it’s more of a nature thing than my energy. This program is working!
Today and tomorrow are the last two days you can order a T25 Challenge pack and pay no shipping! Take advantage of it because this workout will push you, motivate you and be over before you feel like stopping.
That’s all I go, time to work and recharge for tonight classes. Have a good one and keep pushing play!
I ran a 1/2 marathon today! I feel and did pretty decent considering everything. Let’s go over a list of things you shouldn’t do…unless your’e me :) Ever see that episode of How I met your mother when Barney decided to just go out and run the NY Marathon? That was pretty much me today.
1. New shoes and toe socks - never do this before a big run…I know this, I ignored it since I was determined to run in Vibrams and they are pretty much interchangeable. The socks I got yesterday at a sidewalk sale at EREHWON End result - AWESOMENESS, those shoes felt like extensions of my feet. The socks added just enough padding to make up for the fact that…
2. Train for a run - I did not, in anyway shape or form train for this 1/2 marathon. All year I’ve run 2 5k’s and a 10k and that’s been about the extent of my running. What I managed to do today is a result of me teaching Insanity and doing T25 and generally working out hard. My lungs were excellent, my body felt good. The only thing that hurt was my feet and they usually do around mile 7 anyway, they just hurt a little more.
I didn’t turn in the fastest time ever but I finished the race strong, I feel healthy, i’m not wiped out of energy and my feet are recovering. God has blessed me to get stronger and healthier so I can do stuff like this and i’m going to take full advantage of it. There was one sign I read that said ‘Run because someday you won’t be able to.” I got a little chocked up reading that.
How blessed are we with strong bodies and we let them fall apart and then complain and take drugs to correct things that exercise and healthy eating can fix in a few months/years….but that’s not fast enough so we get surgery done to help but the root problem is still there. YOU DIDN’T EARN IT. You lost your health, you should EARN it back and then you will treasure it so much more.
All that being said, I totally didn’t EARN this run, it was a gift and blessing. I workout hard and alot but that is not the same as running. Moving forward, i’m going to train for the Disney in Sept and I need to train harder for the Chicago in Out. I KNOW i can do 13.1 but I can’t let this knowledge keep me from WORKING at it. I wanted to get faster this year and run stronger. I’m running stronger but the only way to get faster is to RUN.
Thank you GOD for blessing me with my health and ability to just decided i’m going to run. Thank you for seeing me through and keeping me strong and fit. Now bless me to train better and harder so that I can continue to DO SOMETHING AMAZING (dsafitness). Amen
So how did I do this? I with a daily diet of Shakeology, Insanity and Focus T25. I know i push this a lot but if CLEARLY works. If you haven’t tried Shakeology and you want to, message me and i’ll get you a sample pack. I’m always looking for new people on my team so sign up for a free account and make me your coach. Get a copy of T25 and change your body with just 25 minutes a day. It REALLY works! When’s the last time you ran 13.1 miles with little to no running prep?
This morning was a bit of a struggle. I taught two very good classes last night which took a lot of energy, didn’t really eat/fuel well before bed, didn’t sleep well because I have a 2 year old who decided that my bed is his bed and to assert that dominance, he creeps in at 1 am and lays side ways kicking me until I leave. (I think that was a run on sentence with a fragment…working on my grammar, don’t worry spelling is next lol)
So this morning workout started at 5;40, which is late for me as was a act of will power to complete. Sure it’s only 25 minutes, but 25 minutes when you are tired is still a LOOOOONG 25 minutes.
That being said, this workout is still great! I am sore and feel the parts working that should be working. Tania as a modifier is great because you can adjust to what she’s doing and still feel a solid workout. If you are looking for a solid entry level workout program T25 is for you. Don’t let Asylum and Insanity scare you away. T25 is it’s own creation and you can do it!
Order your copy from me now and you will not regret this investment you made in your health!
Visit my site for other great workout deals or just sign up for me to become your free coach. THEN EMAIL and let me know i’m your coach. I recently talked to 4 people mad at me because i’m their coach and we havien’t talked. Sorry :( I’ll get better at it but you also have to email me and let me know. I love talking to you about your goals and struggles and helping your through the hard times of zero motivation (typically in the summer when it’s 100 degrees out and its easier to lay around…anyone?)
So have a great day and talk to me!
I need to set a daily reminder that I don’t/can’t miss more than two yoga classes in a row. Last nights session was good but it’s also a reminder in humility and focus. You can’t step away from something for any amount of time and expect to continue to maintain what you have done.
I guess the bonus in this is its supposed to be 100 on Sunday during the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon so I am able to take the heat :)
Sunday is my first 1/2 marathon this year (actually second, i keep forgetting Disney in January) but it’s going to be a huge challenge. I don’t think i’ve run more than 6 miles this year, I haven’t done any serious training. The only reason i’m going to “run” this is because I KNOW i can finish it…not necessarily WELL but i know I will finish.
Stupid - YES
Something I would do - Sure
T25 Speed this morning suffered from the yoga session last night as I was still kind of drained and could possibly be coming down with something…figures.
The continued beauty of T25 is i can gut it out for 25 minutes and BAM! workout is done for the day…only today it’s not as i’m teaching two classes later this afternoon.
Let the fun begin!
Shakeology time and then i’m off to Indiana for work this morning. I’m mailing out Shakeology samples to those who have asked for it, probably tomorrow so check your mail this weekend.
Have a great day and stay focused
The question, can you effectively do a leg workout in 25 minutes with no weights? The answer, HELLS YEAH!
Squats, lunges, abductor work, calf work, it’s all in there in 25 minutes and it burns. The more you focus, the better the workout as you trigger and target key muscles with each activity.
I taught Insanity last night so I was already on fire but this added a little gas and oxygen to the blaze. I think I’ve mentioned that I hate doing lunges, Shaun-T doesn’t care.
So….there is one trick to the 5 days 25 minute workout. Friday is a double workout. I did Lower Focus in the am and i’ll do Cardio tonight. Yes Fridays are a double workout day (Or you can move it to Saturday if you want making it a 6 day a week workout….well played Shaun-T, well played)
Tomorrow is also stats day where you take measurements and see how your progress is going. My pants are loser so I know it’s working. I’m also drinking Shakeology daily.
Shakeology is simply the healthiest meal of the day. Everything you need for a weeks worth of body reviving nutrients in a daily shake
I like to add a banana or berries to mine and I often add almond milk but when i’m really needing it, ice cubes and water work awesomely. I should be getting Vanilla Shakeology in a week so I’m excited to try this one!
Have a great one and keep on that fitness goal, progress is made in inches that add up so never quit.
I slept like a baby last night!
I rand 3.6 miles in the morning, worked all day and then went to the park district to participate in a class that I’ll be co-teaching in the new few weeks. It was a good kind of tired because when I woke up I felt great.
Today I did combat in the afternoon when I got home from work and then I ran off to bikram to get some much needed stretching in. Combat is hands down my favorite beachbody workout series.
Right now we have a special saie going on with Combat and Shakeology so if you have wanted to try this, email me and i’ll get you details!
5 days away from Bikram can feel like an eternity when you finally go back. The heat wasn’t bad, I didn’t even notice it, the postures are what got me. I’m shocked how much flexibility dies when you run a 5k, teach a class, do a few sessions of combat and take another muscle confusion class all before you ever go back to yoga again (That is sarcasm).
All joking aside, it was a good class. The rest away from Bikram did me well as I was able to hold and get into most postures, I just didn’t feel as bendy as I had last week.. I’m going to have to dedicate 3 days a week to getting to yoga, it will only help my running and other activities.
Well, i’m sore and tired so that’s all I got tonight. Drinking daily shakeology has been helping as I can feel the results after just three days.
have a great night and friend me on facebook, I need more friends.
